Talesmyth is a student-directed, nonprofit initiative dedicated to showcasing the art of storytelling and building a community of writers. We've observed that many talented students struggle to find a creative outlet within the university setting. Additionally, students from different entry years of the same discipline often have little to no productive interactions related to their field of study. In collaboration with other literary and artistic events—such as drama productions and cinema studies—we aim to bridge this gap and inspire others to do the same.
For our first challenge, every writer will start with the same prompt or image—but where they take it is entirely up to them. Will your story be thrilling, heartbreaking, or completely unexpected? Once the stories are live on our website, you’ll see how different minds spin the same idea in wildly unique ways.
And it doesn’t end there. Join our follow-up discussion to explore ideas, swap feedback, and connect. As Jack London said, “You can’t wait for inspiration, you have to go after it with a club.” So, why not join the club?
